Thanks for the reply. The format was in the back of my mind and what
the future steps would be. I've started using the .doc simply for
portability... and one gets a blue icon which stands out. There is
talk of .odt becoming the standard replacing .doc but lo-writer i
wasn't too impressed with recently.... couldn't save to rtf without
header appearing twice.
I've always liked Abiword as it's more lightweight and just hope the
developers continue their work. Mepis user eh - one of the nicest
versions of kde... i prefer xfce but wish Mepis did it.
