Apologies for not explaining the problem properly.

I used to put the logo and and company address in the body with other
wordprocessors (especially WordPro) until I started to add company
registration number and bankers details at the bottom of the letterhead.

These details need to be placed in a footer, otherwise when typing the body
of the letter the company registration number etc gets moved onto the next
page.

The problem is more of a footer problem, as opposed to a header problem.

PS: OpenOffice has a facility to set up the first page with header and
footer, but remaining pages with none.
