Have you tried Gentium font? It should be present in all Ubuntu's and for
Windows it could be downloaded from www.sil.org/~gaultney/gentium site.
I'm using Gentium for 16th century Old Lithuanian texts and there is
really a huge amount of diacritics. There are also Ancient Greek
characters in this font.
For me the problem is that I could not find ALL characters/symbols in
AbiWord. Insert Symbol function allows me only to insert some 200
characters, and in Gentium font there are thousands of them. Using Windows
Character Map is not as usefull as Insert Symbol function in MS Word,
which gives me access to all characters/signs in font and to possibility
assign key-combinations to insert specific symbols (e.g. accents).
Am I missing something or there is no possibility to insert additional
characters in AbiWord from AbiWord?
