Yeah, so one way to do this is to use AbiWord in a
server-like mode. What you want to do is fork+exec the
AbiCommand plugin and wrap it with a UNIX-style FIFO.
Then, using some trivial protocol, you have your
webapp talk over a socket to the running AbiWord
server.
I sent an initial bit of code that did this to
Uwog/Marc Maurer. I'm sure that it's still floating
around the internet somewhere.
