I sent this before confirming my subscription to the mailing list, so it may not have got through. In case it hasn't, I'm re-sending:
I have been trying to install Abiword 2.4.1 in a Red Hat 9 Linux distribution, using 'abiword-2.4.1.x86.package'. I have already removed the earlier version of Abiword that I had.
All goes fine until what must be nearly the end of the installation, when I get the message:
"# Installing: A featureful Unicode character map [1/7]
# 100%[==================================================] Extracting files
rm: remove regular file `payload.tar.bz2'? # Installing executables...
# Installing libraries...

# Updating package database...
ERROR: url http://www.abisource.com/~rob/repo/deps/enchant-1.2.1.x86.package.payload was requested but not found: aborting
FAIL: Download of payload for @abisource.org/enchant:1.2.1 failed - check your
internet connection?
Invoking session rollback and returning the computer to its
previous state before this installation procedure was started."
I have tried 2 or 3 times and even tried with 'abiword 2.4.0.x86.package', but it always fails at the same point. I was connected to the internet in each instance, by the way, and it made all previous connections OK.
Any ideas?
Thanks
John
