I watch the user list carefully but never saw the reference to
portableapps. It should be better known on the list than it is. The
support for portable Abiword there is really impressive. I've downloaded
mine and am ready to play.
One minor irritation: some locations where I'd like to use Abiword
(like public libraries), don't allow flash drives connected to
public-use computers (at least out here in Los Angeles). But I notice
from the portable-Abiword forum that some files still get written to the
hard drive. So I suppose there's no point in ranting to the local librarian.
