AbiWord Fork or Replacement that does not require libgnome*

IS there a fork of Abiword that does not require
libgnomeprint and it's billions of other dependent
gnome libs? :P

I can't be the only one who thinks its absurd to claim
that abiword does not require gnome, when it requires
a dozen gnome libs. Printing was just fine without
libgnomeprint!
