Hi Wolfgang,
I wrote a python class that fills AbiWord tables with content
for my little budgeting program, called Divifund.

http://www.divifund.com/

It was quite easy, and the class is only about 100 lines of python (called
exportAbiWord.py in Divifund).

However I don't recommend AbiWord for documents with large tables (say
over a thousand rows). Unfortunately our table layout algorithim has a n^2
behaviour that shows up with Large Tables.

Cheers

Martin
