Hi Dick,
       No there isn't. You invoke it startup at the terminal prompt (or
via a script) like this.

AbiWord-2.2 --plugin abicommand

and you have command line access to a large number of abiword features.

It's very useful for server-type features.

Marc Maurer put together a nice little AbiWord SDK tarball which shows a
couple ways to to use an extend abiword via it bonobo interface (to
embed it in other apps) and example code for using the abicommand plugin
to batch convert documents.
