X11 version for Mac?

The very promising native Mac OS version of AbiWord, evolving rapidly now, seems not to be quite ready for mission-critical work. Meanwhile, is there an X11 version that will run in the Mac OS X environment? If so, what is the version number and from where can it be downloaded?

FinkCommander wants to provide a 1.0.3. version, which I would think is unlikely to be more capable than the native Mac OS version 2.2.3. {I'm new to Fink and X11, feeling my way here :-}
