Oh. You use dumb X11 terminal ? Then you can't make the X11 server (the
X11 server is where things are being drawn, in your case the X11
terminal) use the AbiWord fonts, unless you can serve them by xfs.

If I tell you this, this is because it does. We no longer need to
install fonts for X11, we use fontconfig + Xft.
