    The latest stable version of Abiword is 2.0.0
    If at all possible I'd strongly recommend an upgrade.

    Sorry, you have lost me. I dont see what the Opera web browser has to do
    with Abiword at all?

    Older versions of Abiword on RedHat definately used Ispell.
    Are you sure you have the necessary dictionary hash files installed for the
    languages you want to spellcheck.

    Please describe "not working" in more detail.
