I need some help with this one, as I can not reproduce.
Any Win95 users out there that can reproduce this bug and want to try
a few mock setup programs to help me track down and fix the problem?

My test Window 95 system is pretty much unpatched; I have installed
and uninstalled (so in theory is back to fully unpatched status)
the winsock 2 update and have common control 4.70 (with 4.71 & 4.72
around for testing). The installer works as expected (except I
either forgot to build with the C runtime embedded or it doesn't
show up on Win95 as it should ...).

Based on when the crash occurs, I suspect it is in the check for
an internet connection, the downloadable components are disabled
(not shown) if no connection is available; however if you do not
have at least IE 3 (which comes with 95b, our minimal supported
Windows version) it is supposed to pop up a message and keeps
the downloadable options available. [Presently only extra
dictionaries are available as optional downloads during install,
though plugins and the c runtime may also be downloadable.]

Since the original bug report mentioned IE is not installed, perhaps
that is the key to triggering the fault.

    Thanks for any help,
    Jeremy
