I compiled with
$ ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/abiword
I found out that it's the plugins that makes it freeze. Once I remove the
plugins directory in /usr/local/abiword/share/AbiSuite/Abiword/plugins, looks
like abiword is fine.
I compiled the plugins with the configure option:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/abiword/share/AbiSuite --disable-all
--enable-html --enable-aiksaurus --enable-abigimp --enable-babelfish
--enable--freetranslation --enable-urldict --enable-magick --enable-shell
--with-abiword=/usr/src/abiword-1.0.4-no-bidi/abiword-1.0.4/abi
No, it's not alpha. It's i686 running Redhat Linux 7.3. The only reason I
compiled from source is because it seems that the rpm is only for Redhat 8.0,
and I got a lot of failed dependency. One of them is GCC 3.2, which I don't
want to mess around with just yet.
Any help? Is there any reason why the plugins makes it freeze?
On further not, in the README file that comes with the
abiword-plugins-1.0.4.tar.gz, it says the plugins will be installed in the
directory <dir>/plugins, where <dir> is the directory specified in --prefix.
In reality, the plugins is installed in the directory <dir>/Abiword/plugins.
Thanks for any help.
