Okay, but it is still ugly and it is still non-obvious.
Having the units as part of the text in the text box rather than as a
seperate drop down menu is not particularly nice.
Clicking into the text box should take the focus off the OK button, but it
does not, so you cannot hit return and see the updated Height and width
values (useful when you are using the fixed ratio) without reopening the
dialog.
See the first/front tab of the Insert Image dialog in Mozilla Composer
which is much more to my liking.

I'm on windows, the above focus issue may well be windows specific.
