I am trying to build AbiWord 1.1.0 to play with the refined export to
DocBook. However, I am having trouble during the build. I downloaded
abiword-1.1.0-2.tar.gz, ran make and then make install_redhat.
Both seemed to go fine, but at the end of make install_redhat, I
received the following error:
make[4]: Leaving directory
`/home/tpibil/Downloads/abiword-1.1.0/abi/src/af/ev/xp'
make[3]: *** [build] Error 2
make[3]: Leaving directory
`/home/tpibil/Downloads/abiword-1.1.0/abi/src/af/ev'
make[2]: *** [build] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/tpibil/Downloads/abiword-1.1.0/abi/src/af'
make[1]: *** [build] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/tpibil/Downloads/abiword-1.1.0/abi/src'
make: *** [install_redhat] Error 2
Since it seemed to be related to leaving a directory I did not think it
was that big of a deal.
I then ran ./configure. It goes for a while but ends after the following:
configure: error: * * * unable to find fribidi-config in path! * * *
I am not sure if it was going to end here or not. In any event, I ran
AbiWord and it still says it is AbiWord 1.0.3.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to download fribidi? I am running on
RH 7.3.
Thanks in advance and sorry about the long e-mail.
Ted
