    From Martin,

I just checked and the page margin settings are still not saved to RTF
files. I typically use 1.25" left and right margins. When I save the file
as an RTF file, it saves the left and right margins as 1" margins, not the
1.25" margins I set. I filed a bug on it several weeks ago and have found
no change in behavior in 0.99.3. Last I checked, my bug was still "open."

I filed a bug on this several weeks ago and have discussed it some with Hub.
The problem is that Abi does not save a font size code to blank lines in
RTF files (lines with not text, just a carriage return). Without the font
size codes, the blank lines are at the mercy of the default font size of the
program that opens the file. So when an Abi RTF file is opened in Word, all
blank lines are automatically given a 10 point font size as that is Word's
default, regardless of the font size actually used in Abi. Again, I don't
believe this has been fixed in 0.99.3

As do I. And from what I read on the lists, we are not alone. The problem,
as Hub has pointed out, is that MS doesn't follow its own RTF specs in terms
of default RTF font size, so a philosophical decision has to be made. Do we
make Abi follow the RTF specs or do we make it follow what Word actually
does? I vote for the latter.

    Virgil
