make sure abiword is closed before making any changes to the
Abiword.Profile otherwise abiword will overwrite your changes on exit.
this is expected.
i think you are changing the wrong part of the Abiword.Profile
Select indicates the currently selected profile, you need to change lower
down
something like this
<Scheme
name="_custom_"
DocumentLocale="eo-EO"
MenuLabelSet="eo-EO"
ToolbarLabelSet="eo-EO"
AllowCustomToolbars="0"
ExtraBarVisible="1"
RulerVisible="0"
/>
I did warn you to read very very carefully, i bet you feel silly now (i
know i did when it happened to me although i did manage to figure it out
myself eventually)
I keep trying to convince one of the developers that it would be useful to
be able to change the Interface (GUI) language without having to edit
Abiword.Profile but he does not think it is a good idea. (i should
probably file an enhancement request and vote on it, unless i already
have)
if i understand your question the answer is if you submit the finished (or
as close to finished as you can get) .strings file to the developers we
will try and include it in the next release. you dont need to do a
seperate translation for the linux version
Im tired, goodnight, good luck with your translation work
bye
Sincerely
Alan Horkan
