"cut window" i am not sure what you mean.
The toolbars in Abiword are a little too big for small screens

On linux/unix the toolbars can be customised so this is less of a problem,
but we need more people to help program the windows version to allow
customisable toolbars

No, i am very sorry but this is just not true. At home i have a small
screen (and for the internet still have to use 56k modem)

You should try the different view modes, and zoom levels maybe that will
give you the layout you want.
