              It's good to know advantages in using the Gnome version of
    Abiword. Thanks for the examples above.

    It's possible I, & maybe other 'GTK-only types', too, are such because we've
    had problems that were too much in our trying to get libgal.so dependencies
    solved & install Abiword's Gnome version. So, settling for the best I could
    manage, I ~ & maybe other 'G .... types', installed and run the GTK version
    of Abiword. It may seem 'GTK-only types' "don't ... want all the extra
    goodness you get from the Gnome platfrom (sic)" but 'it ain't necessarily
    so.' It wasn't with me. I simply found hours of fruitless efforts with
    libgal.so 12/17/ ?? too much to add to even though I did solve a few
    problems. The lot I could not ~ & maybe others couldn't, either.

    P.S. Of course, libgal.so problems don't defeat the team producing Abiword
    can they defeat others.
