Wow! My thanks thanks thanks to each and all of the developers.

I've just downloaded & installed AbiWord 1.0 and it worked fine. I got

the gnome version
abi-ispell
abi-fonts
abi-clipart
and each upgraded without a hitch.

I'm running SuSE 7.3, using the ROX Session manager & Blackbox window
manager. The only thing I had to do was change the path in ROX app script
for opening AbiWord. Once I'd done that, it opened fine.

I haven't had a chance to really use it yet, but will. I'll also put it on
the WinNT box (urk urk urk) in my office and let you know how it works
there.
