If you can report any bugs you find with the TeX export that would be
helpful. If you can work out pseudocode in C that might help the
developers to produce good C++ (all C is valid C++ code, as C++ is a
superset of C. I dont know how practical this is in reality).

There are plenty of importers and exporters you might be able to learn
from and use as a guide to write another importer exporter.

There is no need to over emphasize your point, please dont do that with
the stars again. A polite question is more likely to get a polite
    response.

the location of the DTD is specified in the <!DOCTYPE > tag at the top
of every abiword document, you just need to open abiword in a text editor
    to see it.

And it is also mentioned in the old faq
    http://www.abisource.com/dev_faq.phtml
    http://www.abisource.com/awml.xsd

Try searching the website. We know have a search box and a quick search
for DTD turned up a whole load of relevant information.
Alternatively you can go to any good search engine and specify
    site:abisource.com DTD
in your search which would search only the Abisource website for the word
    DTD.

    Sincerely
