Huh? Open Source does not mean free (as in free beer). The AbiWord
developers have lives to live and bills to pay too, even if we work on
an OS project.
My point was that anyone wanting a particular feature in AbiWord would
probably be able to get it implemented much faster than would
otherwise have happened if they paid for it.
And "organisation" sounds like a bigger entity that Joe Random user -
which means they might actually seriously consider paying to get table
support implemented, if it is indeed the only thing preventing them
from switching. [i.e.: spend (say) $1000 on table support in AbiWord
and switch the entire organisation to a license-free WP, resulting in
a net saving].

PS: And just to avoid confusion; no, I'm not thinking of offering my
services. My fee would be ridiculously high - too high for anyone
to take it seriously :)
