Sending this 2nd time, Please kindly help me out!!!
Hi and top of the day to you all,
I am building a custom version of Abiword for Yoruba language on Windows 98
SE and have followed all the instruction in the Abiword Localisation file.
I then built Abiword in MSVC++ 6.0 with no errors and no warnings but when I
run Abiword the menu items could not be display properly. I think this is
because Abiword could not find/load the font needed to display the menu text
properly. I ran through the code files in order to see if I could locate the
source file or file that can point Abiword to the type of font/font file
name needed for displaying the menu text but was unsuccessed.
Please kindly help me out and let me know how to do this.
1.) How can I tell Abiword where to find the font file name its need for
the menu,
dialog, messages text?
2.) In which source/s file/s do I need to add the instructions for these
operations?
3.)Do I need to convert the font file type from true type font to any other
format needed by Abiword? If so kindly tell me briefly how to go about
this(NUT-SHELL APPROACH thanks).
4.) Since there is no hash file for my Yoruba language yet, I am prepare to
create one from scratch starting with some few words and then add to it
later. Any pointer to how to create dictionary with ispell/pspell or
what-ever will be well appreciated.
5.) Any other help that can be of use in creating a customised version of
this leading edge product will be very very highly appreciated.
Thanks in Anticipation and God blesses!!!
Best Regards
Sanyaade,
