not necessarily, those docs are really old and abiword only undergoes
rigourous testing after it has been released into the wild, although it
does get some testing based on the nightly builds. its one of the
downsides of the open source "release early, release often" philosophy,
the user becomes the bug tester (but thats true of most software any...
...im rambling, back to the point)

i really hope that the error message either said bogus or said in valid
but not both "bogus or invalid". I changed the non-American versions to
say invalid because bogus is a very American word and it was really
annoying me how oftern i saw that message so often. Although it
perfectly acceptable to repeat oneself the way the Irish speak English,
it is not appropriate to introduce such a nasty tautology into bug
messages its just confusing. I assume you are just trying to make your
bug report clear.

Have you tried looking at the source of the document in a text editor?
if there are any <ignoredwords> tags or something like that then try
them. It was a bug/feature introduced by the spellchecker in 0.9.4 i
think, but i thought it was fixed and should not be a problem to the
0.9.5 importer.

Hopefully i can provide a workaround so you can get back to writing your
magnum opus, and one of the developers can fix it later.
I assume you are using .abw format? Can you think of any advanced/new
in 0.9.4 features you may have used that could have upset the importer?

If you know how to use IRC try irc.gnome.org #abiword some of the
developers might be logged in and available to help (but if not just
mail the list and be patient).

maybe the gremlins have critiqued it already!
