yes, i noticed that. we built the deb files on Shaw's system, which
is bleeding edge potato. i took the cd we burned home and tried to
install it on my very conservative (stable) home system and ran into
a similar problem....

it appears that gtk 1.2 and friends are only on the unstable branch.

sorry for the inconvience. feed back like this is good as it helps
us iron out problems before 1.0....
