John Brewer did a nice job getting us going, but no one has carried it
forward since then. The current status, AFAIK:
1. The port was incomplete when it was done. It never got to the point
where it would link.
2. The parts of the port which used to compile might not do so now, since
changes to the inter-platform APIs have occurred, and attempts to keep the
Mac port in a compilable state have been done "blind".
If you'd like to dive into this, go for it. We'll be quite eager to clear
obstacles out of our way and support your effort in any way we can. I'm
typing this from my wife's machine here at home, a Mac 7600 -- I'd love to
get Word 5.1 off the computer! :-)
