Has been the case. Honestly, we can still skip the Mac release - it is
not like we suddenly broke it. I'll see what can be done though to
maintain it to shape.

Without too much thinking I do believe these two branches will have to
wait to be merged. Let's make them for the release after 3.0.
Otherwise we'll never release 3.0
This does not mean work has to stop, but just that they'll stay away
from trunk until 3.0 is branched.
I'll create a 3.0 meta bug tonight to track.
