Hello, all! I just got done with a bit of an Inkscape "jam session",
and after talking with some people in #gnome-art, I have created what I
hope will be the final 2.2 AbiWord application icon on GNOME and
Unixy-systems. It has both the trademark Swoosh A as well as some
imagery that makes it apparent the purpose of the application. I added
a scroll-like piece of paper and a re-rendering of the pen. It is
available as a 48px square transparent png at my AbiWord web site,
http://www.cleardefinition.com/oss/abi/ . Also there, I have exported
the same icon at the 128px square size. It is my understanding that at
the moment, AbiWord on Unix uses just the 48 pixel icons, however, if
anybody wants to customize their own version with this larger icon on
platforms that support it, it is available.
I do not know how to convert this image to the proper xpm format that I
also found in the Abi CVS tree, or whether or not an icon in that format
is needed. Any advice or pointers would be helpful.
Thank you!
