I am not opposed to new features, and I am sure you do not think I
    am.

There are two issues, in order of priority. The first is stability.
Stability is a must if we want to be taken really seriously. I have
been using Word for over a decade now, and the one thing I have to
admit to is that it is a pretty stable piece of software; I have had
it crash on me, but those occurences are very rare and I have never
lost any data because of such a crash. I would really like our users
to be able to have the same degreee of confidence in AbiWord. Any
bugs that result in a crash should be put into the blocker category
and must be fixed before the release.

The second is relibable functionality. Feature that only works
sometime, and particularly feature that works unpredictably is a real
turn off. Such bugs should be put into 'blocker' category for any
feature that is reasonably common, and 'critical' for anything less
common. If we cannot fix-up these adequately prior to the stable
release, we will need to consider seriously whether they should not
be disabled altogether for the stable release (for example, I expect
that Revisions->Merge documents will be commented out from the 2.2
    menu)

    Tomas
