Work is a combination of mine + ArVee's. It passes my 2x2 column test.
I'll be cooking up more complex tests, including merged cells, as well
as actually supporting some of the table formatting properties shortly.

Also this commit fixes Rui's GdkPixbuf warnings on startup. Was trivial
to fix.
