            Please post you debug output. Try the latest CVS (Dom and FJF just
    fixed a really bad bug) and use the configure option...

    ./configure --enable-xft --enable-debug

    The crash you're getting is not being able to find the fonts using the old
    font code. I personally would like to see this code in official
    depreciated mode. It is already defacto depreciated. Almost no developer
    makes builds using anything but xft-enabled abiword now.

    So we might as well make it official and have --enable-xft the default.

    What do people think?
