the web archive is not Majordomo, majordomo is the mailing list software.
I would also prefer if the web mailing list made a little more effort to
protect email addresses.

If you are suggesting that the reply-to: should be set to the list then i
will tell you that historically the Abiword list has refused to do this
for the same reasons as every other list that refuses to do this.
I really hate mailing lists that set the reply to as only the list.
Better that you accidentally send the mail to only one person than
accidentally send the mail to several hundred people.
It may be annoying that you have to hit 'Reply All' and the original
sender gets a duplicate because you are unwilling to make the extra effort
to delete the extra line (like am not going to bother to do now but
usually make the effort to) but there are better mail clients that
understand mailing lists and this list is unlikely to change. Dont
waste time trying to convince me (i am not in charge, but dont waste
time arguing with the list maintainer either) see the mailing list
archives for the previous discussions on this.
