The problem was that setting a style of Normal was the wrong thing to do;
that (like most of the other styles) was a paragraph style. The endnote
ref style is a character style; it's the only default character style,
in fact. In any case, I extended my no-leaking-props fix so that the
'style' prop wouldn't leak out of endnotes (or any other field).
