Yeah, I want to make AbiWord a "container" and an embeddable component
sometime soon. I really wanted to do this as much in XP land as possible.
For example:

1) We have code in our image support to draw square objects to the screen.
We could probably re-use this code to support embeddable components inside
of Abi, with the initial limitation that they must be square
2) We can have "Factories" that return instances of embeddable XP classes
(which are subclassed in P-specific land).

I know most of what needs to be done in Bonobo-land. I know some stuff about
OLE2 and OCX but I'm not a god by any means. So this means that I need some
help creating an XP API that we can use. I was initially thinking about
creating objects based on mime-type, file-extension, and passed data. So if
your platform supports embedding, please get back to me off-list and we can
talk more.

This is probably a good idea. Once my network is up, I'll commit a bunch of
code on my HD. I have a page-setup dialog done. John Clark is working on the
Styles dialog. I say we should scrap the Borders/Shading dialog for 1.0,
since that requires a lot of backend work. So then, what's left for 1.0, I
ask you? Lots and lots of bugfixes...

Yeah, esp. with regard to ports, stability, and file filters.
